A. Rose Rutherford, PA-C, MPAS, MS
Rose joined PrimeCare in 2006. She has been a practicing PA for over 13 years, graduating from Howard University’s PA Program in 2005. She completed a Masters in Family & Emergency Medicine from AT Still in 2008, and a Masters in Medical Bioethics from Albany Medical College in 2015.
She currently works at a level 2 Trauma Center Emergency Department in Richmond, where she also serves on the Ethics Committee as the only PA representative. Rose also co-chairs the advanced practice provider council, where she advocates for PA/NP representation for the various medical committees. Rose has served on the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants Executive Board for the past 4 years and is currently the sitting President. She is a member of the Medical Society of Virginia and serves on the Political Action Committee.
She is the proud mother of two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, vacationing & knitting, and tending to her garden.
